My name is Jillian and I am a self-taught home baker serving the Monterey Peninsula. I bake from my soul and with an appropriately excessive amount of vanilla and cinnamon. I specialize in rustic, homey goodies that are full of flavor and quality ingredients. I also bake and decorate buttercream cakes and cupcakes for any occasion. 

Vanilla + Cinnamon comes from my love of bringing people together with food to celebrate life's sweet moments. For as long as I can remember, the kitchen has been my happy place. As a kid, I watched my mom bake thousands of her infamous chocolate chip cookies to serve to others. As a teenager, every night at our house ended with friends and family sitting on the kitchen floor while someone prepared a snack. As a young adult, the vision of my nana deep frying Portuguese filhos was forever imprinted into the most cherished part of my memory. In my first home to myself, baking became a way to pass the time. Now the hobby that once passed the time is my comfort, my tithing, my peace, and my joy. I am honored to share it with you.
